This great fishing rod rack fits on most pickups or trucks. You can fit a cooler box in the middle – how cool is that – keep your beer cold or your smelly fish/bait outside the cab. Made from aluminium so it won’t break your back getting it on and off the vehicle. I especially like the 45 degree angled tubes – great for holding your rods while you rig them up without sticking them in the dirt or sand. Holds 12 rods, 2 at a 45 degree angle. Rack also holds a 100-quart standard or 94-quart marine cooler. Features adjustments for varying rod lengths; mounts to a front or rear 2″ receiver or a bumper. 18″ x 38″. Aluminum construction. Check out the price at Reels on Wheels?

Here’s a simple design for a fishing rod rack you can make yourself at home. You can size it for as many rods as you want. I mounted mine off the floor of my garage by about 300mm so I don’t trip over the base in a confined area. Screw some rod storage clips along the back board to match your holes. You can get these from a local hardware or sports store or you can buy them online at Go-2-Marine for a few $ each.

If you can’t be bothered making your own, or you don’t have the time or tools – try this alternative…
